Dear Arts Supporter
For the 7^th consecutive year InterDance, in collaboration with numerous Iowa artists will participate in National Dance Week and International Dance Day, celebrations that take place all over the world. This year we will present “Iowa Dance 2013: Dancing Our Visions” at the Coralville Center for the Performing Arts, April 27, 2013, 8PM.
     The dance celebration in 2012, our first at CCPA, was a resounding success with an audience of over 400 celebrating Dance in Iowa. Our plan in 2013 is to produce an even larger, more inclusive event. In addition to the multidisciplinary dance concert, in 2013 Iowa Dancers, all volunteering their time and expertise, will go to public schools to perform and dance with Iowa youth!
     We know that we need to do more than generate ticket sales to pay for this event. That is why I am asking supporters of the arts, business people and friends like you to step up and help us fund this celebration.
Your generous contribution will help pay for 1) theater rental, 2) marley floor rental; 3) per diem to performers to reduce out of pocket expenses to participate; 4) after show reception for artists and supporters and 5) comp or reduced-price tickets for people who can’t afford them.
     To celebrate and recognize you, we will display the logo of your business and/or your name along with a very public “thank you” in our program.
     As always your contribution is greatly appreciated by the organizers, the artists and other supporters of the arts.
     Groups from Des Moines, Ames, Quad Cities, Cedar Rapids, Coralville and Iowa City have already confirmed their participation in the fields of Ballet, Modern, Hip Hop, Indian, Middle Eastern and Jazz, to mention a few. Everybody is very excited about a “real” theatre with nice stage, wings, lights, sound, dressing rooms… And the audience will have the opportunity to enjoy traditional and innovative new works by Iowa artists.      I hope you will join us in celebrating the talent and creativity of Iowa dancers at this exciting venue. We would love to see you there.
